Good morning Voltaire,
How are you?
Wish I'd written those calls you've been talking about- they'd be saving me right about now. I need to raise cash-
does it make sense to sell deep in the money calls as opposed to selling the stock outright? Also, I'm holding July QCOM 150 and 160 calls, as you did at one time- do you still have them? would you sell them before earnings are released (assuming there's strength)?

I feel for everyone that's been suffering the last couple of weeks- there is a lot of pain out here now. I try to remember "that which does not kill us makes us stronger". What makes me angry is that it is all orchestrated- which I see clearly thanks to you. Investors are hyped into buying stocks by "analysts" and media, then left standing while
those entities collude with our own government to bring them (and us) down. It makes me want to a) put my money under a mattress and b) figure out how to take as much money from these sunsabiches as possible (if I'm still standing when this is through!) I'm starting to understand a little bit of the bitterness that seems to accompany the short seller mentality,I'm sorry to say. They probably started out as rampant, uncovered bulls that met up with vicious, orchestrated market downswings and suffered the consequences. We all must learn to play the short side of this market, those of us that haven't. And of course the time to do that is when we're feeling no pain, lulled into a sense of complacency. Maybe some of us can remind each other in better times to come- hey, have you covered? Are you out of margin?? I know I'm stating the obvious here.
Speaking for myself, it's time to get smart or get out. I'm praying for everyone, praying for faith and a little light here at the end of the tunnel!

Hi V:

I sure picked one hell of a month to deviate from the strategy. Ouch!

David

V: Lots of folks seem to be waiting for 'The Houses' to send out their very credible ambassadors...FYI...

Message 13420332

I sure have not figured out why 'The Houses' have decided to wait so long....IMO, they are pushing this sell-off to the limit...Yet, I'll bet they have their reasons...They actually can thrive in this churn 'em and burn 'em environment...Imagine the commissions they are taking in from the nervous investors and Fund Managers <G>....Yet, they need to make sure that folks remain confident in investing in tech stocks -- and even the high quality internets (the underwriting fees from the hundreds of IPOs are TOO LUCRATIVE for them to sit still much longer)....I would not be surprised if we see Goldman's AJ Cohen and some of the other 'Gurus' speaking up more than usual in the next 10 days....They may talk about how we clearly have 'more rational valuations', a strong economy, and a higher allocation of portfolios should now be in stocks. Stay tuned...;-)

Best Regards,

Scott
