Retail sales were quite noteworthy with
sales sans autos up over twice the avg.guess.
(Since one can ignore the energy component of
PPI, its fair to do the same to retail sales-s-)
We're still pushing personal consumption
expenditures at a 7% rate in Q1. The Q1GDP release
on the 27th is going to remain hot. The Fed may
pay attention to PPI's components such as paper,
steel, autos, chemical products,finished consumer
goods, intermediate goods---each growing around
a 10% annual rate.
