Well, I can't do that because I'm under non-disclosure but in any event, you know what they say about assume. My comments stand: this revolution isn't about the pre-cambrian software written with child-like programming languages. When one starts defending B2B using COBOL as the basis for their expertise, then goes on to blindly flame free software when the Internet runs on the stuff, you really have to wonder. Well, to be honest I didn't wonder at all, I knew the value of your comments immediately.

Goodness gracious...

biz.yahoo.com

This is interesting. I wonder if it contains any hints for the public in terms of the ease with which portals can be assembled? Here we have a Spanish construction company who is building, ah, software systems and then CMRC is turning around and taking a 10% stake in it? Talk about the tail wagging the dog! Oh, and just so they don't miss out on this Y2K, er, B2B bonanza, they're going public:

Both Endesa and Dragados have previously said they intend to list their portals on the stock market.

This is becoming nothing less that a cruel joke. I'm sure these are fine companies and that the portals (based on standard software systems) are functional and effective. However, there's no public offering value in any of this. When you have construction companies going public as high technology B2B infrastructure plays you have to stop and think whether Larry Ellison was right when he remarked It ain't hard.
