OT MIPS Scumbria,

I noticed yesterday, do you know of any bad news brewing for MIPS?

Nick

Scumbria:

I've never looked at MIPS but I wouldn't be too quick in taking AMD profits...The next upleg hasn't even begun yet!
4 million shares and $74...(Just now moving forward!)

Anyone noticed the behavior of MIPS? They are trading at the annual low, and are one of the top ranked Semi's. I'm thinking about picking some up with some AMD profits.

Scumbria,

I checked out MIPS when I saw your comment and was blown away by its drop.....more than half from where it was. The 2 negatives I have found so far is that its eps price was dropped $.01 a week ago (from $.28 to .27) and rev growth decreased 7% (from 50 to 43) in the last quarter.

If you find out the reason for the drops, let me know. It could be a minor stall in an otherwise good forcast; meaning that MIPS is a steal at these prices. BTW its float is very small, 13 million which also may help account for the steep drop and its ROE is a whopping 64%.

Footnote: The MIPS thread has no idea why the stock has dropped; are blaming it on market conditions.
