Thanks for the photos, Gene. Unfortunately, the two different photos are confusing. In the first one, I see two heatsinks and fans, most probably to cool off Sony's Emotion chip and graphics controller. Both of those are supposed to be behemoths. On the same photo, I think the two RDRAM chips are to the left of the two big heatsink/fan combos. Looks like each RDRAM chip has its own miniature heatsink.

In your second photo, it's very easy to pick out the RDRAM chips. Unfortunately, that photo also has all of the heatsinks and fans removed, so that doesn't tell us much about cooling requirements.
