I am talking about buyers, you are talking about a restricted class of buyers.

So everybody is a liar? I doubt that! Benchmarks have been very useful for a long, long time. If benchmarks were not important these companies would not spend so much money testing the pC's and publishing the results.

But it is interesting that when the AMDroids win a benchmark test they are important and when they lose the benchmarks they are unimportant. <LOL> You need to take off your colored glasses.

:)

Jim, <optimizing the benchmark to show the desired result.>
I found it funny that the PCworld benchmark is "new":

"all tested under our new PC WorldBench 2000 test suite."

and is not available to general public:

pcworld.com
"..the answer is no. We provide the benchmark
to system vendors so they can understand how
it works, but we do not offer it to the public.
Like any application, PC WorldBench 2000 would
require costly technical support were it
offered to the public at large. "

I wonder why I "need to understand how it
works" to benchmark a computer...
