April 12, 2000 Legislation could allow NextWave to keep licenses WASHINGTON-Members of a House Judiciary Subcommittee on Tuesday signaled they would work toward legislation that would allow NextWave Telecom Inc. to keep its 90 C- and F-block personal communications services licenses, even if a federal appeals court says the Federal Communications Commission can cancel and re-auction those licenses. In a hearing on the issue, lawmakers indicated they were waiting for the 2nd Circuit Court to address the issue before they would take any definitive action.
