"Dr. Watson, come here" Said AG (not Alexander GrahamBell, Auric Goldfinger) to Kevin Watson. Do we have a winner? If so I have the dough. First question is: Did we decline the 40% in 8 sessions. If yes, the judges have some work to do.

"Long" term followup. About six months ago (4/12/00), Induhvidual Investor listed 55 Net-related stocks it called "undervalued" due to their being 75% or more off of their highs:

individualinvestor.com

Of these 55:

2 were subsequently purchased by other companies on the list (ANDN by LNUX, ONEM by ELNK). ONEM holders got cash and stock out of the deal, enough cash that those who held are still ahead of the 4/12 level (unless, of course, they sunk the cash into other dotcoms...). ANDN holders got LNUX stock only and have lost further ground.

1 (NTBK) is exactly where it closed on 4/12. Unfortunately for it, it was just revealed that it recently signed into a marketing deal with... Priceline's WebHouse. Oops!

4 continue to trade as themselves AND are higher than they were on 4/12: HOMS, PPRO, RETK, and STAD.

The other 48 trade even lower than they did on 4/12, including all six "featured" stocks (ACOM, ETYS, FATB, HLTH, MYPT, and STMP) which are down from 30% to 69% (average 55%) from the time of the article asserting they were "too cheap to ignore": individualinvestor.com

None have gone to zero. Yet.
