Comrade Marcos, you come from Mexico and live in a socialist country called Canada. The only thing you have in common with that kid or those people is the Spanish language.

That kid came from a dictatorship to a country where you have the freedom to exist for your own sake and don't have to worship the Leader's ass 24 hours a day.

I've got more in common with that kid than you do.

No, it is not a crock at all. If Elian says one word to the media that he wanted to return to Cuba with his father, then it would be all over for those who want him to stay here. On the other hand, should Elian praise America and state that he wishes to go back to America once he is back in Cuba, it's off to "brainwashing camp" for him. Try to get beyond your hatred for the exile community in the Miami area, and recognize the complete difference, and then you will realize why it is so worth "fighting" for.
My country is one which was founded by those willing to give their lives for freedom, and many in the Cuban community down in southern Florida feel the same way. Yogi
