Got news for you... I'm a big short of Amazon and I've not shorted more in the past two weeks. I've covered some-- it's called not being greedy, something some people around here haven't learned yet. My shorting took place in the mid to high 70's.

Big drops in general for a company like Amazon are not the work of the shorts. We actually cushion the fall somewhat. In this era, shorting a stock enough to make it go down is just begging for the day traders to coalesce and squeeze the stock. And Amazon is a 20 billiion market cap stock to begin with.

Amazon's downtrend was due to selling.
