"IF the market rebounds....."

I agree with your comment. Right now potential
purchasers have to feel that there actually is a floor
to the house that they are proposing to enter, that will
not cave in on them if they walk on it......

There also needs to be a lot more leadership in the tech
section like AMD's report of yesterday...

So far, that hasn't really yet been established, either for FFIV or the Nasdaq altogether, it seems.

While I hope it happens soon, it will occur when the market is ready and not before.

Best wishes,
Jim

<<Many have declined much worse than FFIV.>>

Couldn't agree more, FFIV decline pales in comparison to FDRY and AKAMI, I think what we have here is a market leader with a managment team that's focused on the ball. Unfortunately, FFIV is the only stock in my portfolio that has been mauled over the last few weeks.

It was tempting to jump ship to more sexy names when the market was setting new highs, but I knew better, almost.

Nonetheless, all this market sentiment is useless if you truely are a long term investor. If FFIV executes like they have in the past, I have no problem with where the "stock" is today. Just don't listen to losers like Richard Hoey of Dryfus, a broken clock is right twice a day, and boy has that loser been wrong so many times. If I've only videotaped his Squwak Box appearnces, I'd be playing them today for a good laugh.

The irrony in all of this is Ralph Accompora's call of NAZ 6000. He made the call on the day NAZ broke through 5000, which was the EXACT market top. It shows how much "smart" money knows. IMO, Ralph has been the ultimate contrarian indicator. On the other hand, they keep talking about how individual investors took the market to extremes, and yet all one hears is how another hedge fund was forced to liquidate. Well pardon my stupidity, but, if they're so God damn smart why the hell are they forced to close their doors? How many of you guys have been forced to liquidate your entire porfolio?

Not I!
