Well, a new heat pump is a thing of beauty. DEPENDING ON THE CLIMATE, it can be a distinct money-saver. And the value of your home can be enhanced by a heat-pump. But I don't sell 'em, I use 'em. Our ENTIRE electric bill including the heating in the winter and cooling in the summer is around $200 per month. That is what a heat pump can do. When we lived in the City of Annapolis with no heat pump, our FUEL bills alone ranged from $300 - $600 in the winter and extra for the electricity. We had a couple of window ACs and our electric bill in the summer ran as high as $150. I just know the heating bills are a lot more because we were only paying $.75 a gallon for heating oil then. So it can be a really good deal!
