Hi BP...maybe the worst is over. I hope so. Anyone who has to pay taxes has already taken the $ out--i.e. sold stocks to generate cash for Monday.

Your point is well taken tho and as I was saying too. Generally its a good rule but doesn't always work.

BP, you are right. Nobody can predict the bottom. Nevertheless, Alan Chernoff of CNBC shows that there are signs of bottom like the PUT/CALL ratio for index and equity at 0.7, and for equity at 0.58. This shows fear in the market which is a contrary indicator.

Is the market oversold? More like it. Is it the bottom? We will know 20/20. Yet if one buys everytime when the market corrects 20+% (not necessarily the bottom yet), one would have done very very well.
