I understand what you're saying. I'll be clearer in the future re: the benchmarking of "systems" versus "components". So the correct statement is the PIII/820/RDRAM combination (most other components, like HDDs, being equivalent or removable from the equation since comparable parts appeared in both types of systems) shows an advantage over the Athlon systems. I'll worry about future products in the future. Most users only buy the "system" and right now, that combination is what people can buy, and that combination is what is winning the tests. I'll take 3 of the top 5 positions in the PC World Power PC list any time. From a PR point of view (which is what most users end up buying on) you have to admit that's a big boost for Intel/Rambus whether or not you think the tests were valid. Most users believe that these labs know what they're doing. Especially when two of them have similar results.
