Chic,

I guess I don't understand your point.

The purpose of me buying the stock was because I am bullish on the stock.

The purpose of selling covered calls is to reduce risk - i think you certainly understand that.

If your point is that i would have done better waiting to sell covered calls - this is certainly true - with hindsight.

However i have seen that premiums drop after earnings. And so if stock goesdown to mid 60's those premiums will be much less than $9.

But after last quarters blowout earnings they sold off the stock and i didn't want to be in that position.
