Re Terabeam--

I suspect you know that they have been dubbed by Gilder as THE solution for fixed wireless. Very high bandwidth and easy installation in a small package. My take on Terabeam is that it takes line of sight within a limited radius. Therefore, it won't be the answer for everybody. It will supply a cost-effective answer to those who can use it, but that will be a minority of the population.

To the extent that any company's future is tied to supplying equipment in these areas, there may be some effect. But, are BDCM and TLAB's future earnings anticipated to be from this area? Your answer is undoubtedly better than mine. (I really don't know about either). The terabeam/LU tieup announcement was responsible for a step up in LU shares recently--apparently, since there was no other announcement that day. There's been some discussion of this the last couple of days over on the Gilder thread.

Best,
John
