Ouch, down $5.50 - I'm going to see where I can free up some cash. I just want to close above $70 at this point!

<< Just imagine what happens if Intel misses the whisper number and tanks the naz. >>

Probably won't happen, however I think it'd have a positive effect on AMD. I know quite often what is good for you is also good for your competitor (and vice versa).

However, AMD is fighting an image problem. If they do well and Intel does bad I think it raises their image even more. If Intel does awesome (which I expect) then people will say it was all on sector growth and had nothing to do with AMD really turning the corner.

Either way, I don't expect Intel to get anywhere near AMD's EPS which makes the price differential between the two way out of wack with reality. Especially considering who has more growth potential. Of course, the market can remain out of wack for a long time.

Kash,

That $100 is based on a PE of only 25. This is AMD and as Jim had mentioned, AMD is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Tech. Take a look at SUNW and Intel, they are getting the PE of 50. I am well aware of that AMD will not see PE of 50, as long as Jerry is still with AMD. I took the measures and unload my options this morning. Too bad that I forgot to enter the orders before the market open. I thought the stock was halted at the time so I was busy searching for upgrades. It is painful to get less than I had predicted. Did I blame anyone beside myself? NOPE!
