RESEARCH ALERT - SG Cowen starts Go2Net
NEW YORK, April 13 (Reuters) - SG Cowen said it started
coverage of Go2Net Inc. GNET.O> on Thursday with a strong buy rating and a 12-month price target of $115 a share.
-- Analyst John Graves said, "While building its network of
vertical sites to be among the Web's top-10 most visited
destinations, GNET has also expanded aggressively into bedrock commerce infrastructure services including Web-based secure payment processing, merchant hosting and commerce services."
-- Said market is poised to penetrate market for online
transaction volume in business-to-business and
business-to-consumer segments, which is forecast to exceed $2.0 trillion by 2003
-- Expected to move into Web advertising and promotions,
the markets of which are expected to surpass $33 billion by
2004, and sites tailored for high speed connections.
-- Shares closed on Wednesday at 60-1/8 on Nasdaq.>>>
