7) Crackerjack sells are at an all time high.

(Rumor is they are going to break up BlockBuster. Call the two new companies Block & Buster. One rents videos, the other collects late charges. Late fees begin when you leave the video store. This will help slow crackerjack sells as the money is diverted to pay late fees.) :-D

I was apalled by Greenspan. I think the idea of controlling marketmakers, even though they should be monitored, regulated and occasionally horsewhipped, is still a bit too "hands on" in an area where the government has been "hands off". As you say he is trying to put the blame for the market's weakness on several shoulders. It was surprising to me that he said that he had no responsibility for the market weakness. I think he has hastened the inevitable.
