Heinz, what's your opinion on Utilities? That's where I am hiding, with pretty good results so far. Most have dividends higher than money market funds, their dividends typically keep up with inflation and, at least the ones I have, have profits that grow at least as fast as the economy. Their P/E ratios are near all time lows relative to interest rates. There is even something for the new economy enthusiasts: a bunch of them recently formed a B2B company to cater to the buying needs of the industry, and most have fiber optics subsidiaries.
