FWIW, I have been trying NOT to do exactly what I just did. I bought some PMCS in the after market. Not for trading. Rather to place in my long term hold portfolio. I figure I better do it now -- before Kevin Landis gets his greedy hands on more shares. ;) I figure even if it trades down...I'll just have to take the pain. Gifts like the (obviously mistaken) "PMCS missed by 2 cents" CNBC report have to be acted on quickly. I haven't been this pleased with a purchase since I snagged a couple thousand RMBS shares at 6 -- unfortunately, they took those shares away :(

However, we are still $12 below the close. That's pretty severe for decent/superb/superlative/<"pick your positive adjective"> earnings.

Not really what happened. I watched the tape pretty close. Very shortly after the bell PMCS went down on Island to around $109. After earnings became clear it worked its way up. Right now buyers at $115. So you can say it is down $10 from the close but it would be more correct to say it is up $5 from the after hours pre announcement price. If they really did not like the report it would have gone way south. It went the other way.
