DOJ movement far from a fiasco, the latest case started in 1998 has seriously slowed Microsoft attempt's to spread their dominance into other software areas which have evolving standards, profits from windows and its monopoly are much less devoted toward lossleader of inferior software products in new areas, less bundling of stuff like internet browser into the op/system, competition in the software industry has increased radically in the last year partly because of DOJ freezing MIcrosoft

although Gates is sincere, his company has inhibited innovation

do you really think a super dominant Microsoft in the network and internet software arena is good for innovation in the current decade? if you do, then you know little of the nature of computer competition, i have worked in this area since the 1950s and have seen the birth of ibm all the way to the present

how a fiasco? for MSFT stock? for mutual fund portfolios?
curious about what you regard to be this fiasco
is your background in the computer industry? probably not
