They didn't miss. Zacks estimates were for .16, they did .17. Without the acquisitions they did, which were a drag on their earnings, they would have done .21.

Jimbo, the consensus First Call Estimates, which is what CMBC is using, was for $0.16 a share. Of course, those "estimates" don't have full accountability so you don't know if they factored in the acquisitions into their number or not. CNBC is 'ASSuming' that the analysts' estimates factored in the acquisitions. I can't see how 27% growth quarter-over-quarter could be disappointing to any of the analysts that "follow" PMC-Sierra. Most of the analysts already have "Strong Buy" ratings on PMCS.
