Sun, on their Q3 earnings call, said that the MAJC processor has taped out. Taped out is a term for: The design of a processor is complete. Sun also said they see MAJC as a disruptive technology. My humble guess is that Sun sees the MAJC chip as a leap forward over prior technology and/or competing chips. Here is a Sun link to what MAJC is all about: sun.com ...snip...
