RG, all I know about Tokyo Joe I learned at his website a few minutes ago. I didn't see the CNBC story on him, but I'm getting the impression that CNBC is fanning the flames to cause a market burnout. Would appreciate your thoughts on the interview.

I think the market short term will show downward volatility testing 3200-3300 Nasdaq short term. Unecessary evil imo, but people want to trade and not go long. As you have said and I believe, going long and holding would turn things around. Of course, you can't keep a good company down forever. With the exception of a few of my 38 or more stocks, only a couple, like VIPM are truly speculative.

I also realize that no matter how great the company, psychological perception determines price in spite of fundamentals - hot stocks in hot sectors prevail.

I still believe that you have to believe in the stock that you buy and I don't buy stocks that my gut tells me not to anymore, no matter what anyone else says. I believe that internet and technology will begin to show profitability in the not too distant future and once again become the darlings of investors.

The boomers have put a lot of money in this market. I can't for the life of me see them moving out of the market except for a temporary respite. Exactly where will they be parking their cash, I dunno. I also can't see the govt letting this market go down in flames, especially during the election year. What do you know about the 'Plunge Protection Team'?
Trying to do more research on it - seems to be a secretive group.

Well, I rambled on much more than I intended and realize I really don't know anything at all, it's just what I believe.

Cheers,
Linda

BTW - regarding the FBI site - comic relief a necessity in times of stress for me and I hope others as well.
