OT: Hello Linda. I thought I would try out your FBI site just for fun - getting tired of always looking at investment-related sites. But it must not work from Canada - darn! I even have a SSN and everything.
I agree with your comments about only investing in those companies you really believe in. Unfortunately, my current portfolio is over-weighted in companies that I don't have much faith in. My future purchases will be much more in line with your principles. Techs will rebound - they must to satisfy our hunger for gadgets. I think the fibre optic industry is the next big play. I just don't know of any good companies in this area.

Best Regards,

Molly

I never followed Tokyo Joe. It is a daytraders site. I always lose when I attempt to daytrade. I locked in a lot of profits about 3 weeks ago and proceeded to lose a lot of those profits over the past couple of weeks attempting to trade and buy on what I thought were bargains in the Nasdaq. I hardly ever short a stock and now I believe it may be too late to short most of them.

I have taken a 50% hit in the past couple of weeks due to the fact my two largest positions, (MOAT, VITC) have floundered. I anticipate both MOAT and VITC to find some kind of base at these levels and we can get back to some kind consistency again.

I believe a lot of the down slide over the past three weeks can also be attributed to people locking in some profits to pay their capital gains taxes from last year.

Cheers
