The Clue...

I sold out today in the morning.

What is going on here is:
-- The replacement of Greed with Fear. But the put/call ratio is still low, which means we have a long way to fall.
-- Internet companies with aggressive revenue recognition models who have no forseeable start point to their profit cycle are getting hammered. DRIV falls squarely in that category. Compare that with PCLN, which is starting to enter its profit cycle (PCLN one of few Internet stocks up today, btw).

Maybe I will be a good contrarian indicator for DRIV <g>. But I do what I always do when I feel disoriented and nothing seems to work: Go to cash. I started raising cash two weeks ago and I have not been hurt bad, but I am very frustrated.

Watch the put/call ratio. When it tops .70, we are seeing the extremes of Fear, at which point things hsould settle down.
