I think this is a genuine bear market now... even when it's over sold, it's going south... that's a sure sign of real selling ahead.....

I imagine the next thing to do is to design in trailing stops. I guess they don't have to be designed as a fixed number of points, they could be percentage-based, exponential, parabolic,

anything you want to experiment with.

This gap down is rather bearish from a pattern perspective. I took one of my system trades yesterday......it was Long that lost money. But I hung with the system and it went Short at 1472.50, I think it was, and so I'm Short from there. I only used mini contracts, however, because the wide stops are too much for a Risk Adverse personality such as myself.

Even when it kicked in, I knew I would not like it. It was a lousy place to Sell from. Sure enough it bounced into the low 1480s I think, before coming down late.

But at the moment, all my Systems are Short. These range from 30 minute through Daily Systems and include a Bond System and a ND System along with the SPX/SP Futures Systems.
