"Through environmentally directed socialization people tend to adjust to the societal rules and norms of morality. Studies on the "group think" What is this? ALL humans have group think- except for the VERY few cases of wild children found wandering alone in the wilderness. NO human (including YOU) grew up without group think- so this mysterious "human nature free of group think" simply does not exist. And if I might add, wild children, growing up without the benefit of socialization, are apparently quite "immoral"- according to the people who describe them- I think amoral is the truer term, myself. phenomena have shown how the process can lead to very bad outcomes. As I pointed out in more than one post societal standards on morality may actually deviate a great deal from what free thinking Again- WHAT does this mean? "Free thinking" individuals can be highly immoral, amoral, or whatever. This makes no logical sense. How would you define such "free thinkers" since free thinkers are all over the map and act in QUITE contradictory manners. How to separate the free thinker from the sociopath, eh? individuals would define as moral or immoral 1.Free thinking individuals don't really exist to the level that they can free themselves from "group think" completely- even the totally mad know they are members of society and were raised by SOMEONE. 2. What these mystical "free Thinkers" who don't exist would define as "moral" and "immoral" is completely hypothetical, and since people RARELY agree I doubt even if they did exist that your magical "free thinkers" would agree on a cross cultural basis. . Again, they are able to do so because of innate ability.Alas, impossible to prove, but I accept that you take this on belief "
