Did I miss a filing? -g-

If I had to pick an emblematic modern retailer heading for bankruptcy it would be RSTO, not AMZN. (I covered my RSTO short out of boredom, along w/ONSL, UBID, RAD and a bunch of others, WAY too early.)

GST-

Is it routine for companies to drop 90% or go bankrupt?

My guess is yes, it happens every month or at least every year. I wonder if speculators end up owning those companies more often that those who assess the business with some level of detail. Even then, every investor will pick some serious dogs in his/her lifetime.

I think it's a good thing, over all, to have more of the public investing in stocks.

Do you think the fact that markets fluctuate, sometimes strongly, actually discourages speculation? My hope is that it does, but it seems like a tough call either way.
