I suppose a lot of investors follow CNBC thats the problem. I hope the situation stabilizes. My portfolio just has shrunk and each day shrinks more. And that's in spite of writing cc on some of my stuff.

Latest example is the ASTONISHING SUNW qtr and CC. The could have used this for a full story on the health of the internet infrastructure instead barely mentioned it. JDN

It's not CNBC's job to hype Sun. It's even CNBC's job to present a balanced outlook on the market. It's CNBC's job to get better ratings through capturing views, which is more easily done with sensationalism than a level voice. That's why they're breathless with admiration at NASDAQ 5000 and white-knuckled with panic at NASDAQ 4000, no, 3600, no, 3500, no, OH MY GOD! HOW LOW CAN IT GO! TUNE IN NEXT HOUR AND HEAR IT FROM THE EXPERTS!
