The 30-year bond is at 5.793% and the government's inflation rate for the first three months of the year stands at 5.8%. The irrational markets are pretty much everywhere one chooses to look. After taxes, that's a negative 2% return. Great deal for the government.

Don, "Stepped on a poptop, blew out my flipflop, I had to hip hop all the way home." Apologies to Jimmy Buffet, Warren's evil twin, and "Margaritaville."

Don:

Sounds familiar. (g)
If you will recall, I had this Intel yield problem in print many weeks ago, and with the details.

Incidentally, the Athlon-based PC that I ordered from my local cloner several weeks ago was finally delivered yesterday. There has been a huge shortage of motherboards for the Athlon. I wonder why. (G)

Best, Earlie
