Hi John, Well you nailed it.http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=13423020 As IBD instructs: Use bear markets for researching your short list of future holdings. Look for cup and handle price patterns - sure looks like a lot of "left side of the cups being formed" WAIT for an up rally on a 10% increase in volume AND a confirmation day (ideally 4-7 days later - also requires increased volume - any confirmation past 11 days is suspect to be weak) In short get back in when the institutions jump back in. It may well be an interesting undertaking to solicit thread members for their one or two best stock ideas. I would be intertested in your favorites in the now much more reasonable fiber optic sector. Perhaps I should qualify my market opinion.On some stocks we've entered a bear market - yet others still hold a chance to simply be labeled as corrections. Those correcting stocks that will be tomorrow's (ok maybe it will take more than monday hehe) breakout leaders , are what all investors should have their crosshairs on now. In confusion lies opportunity but we all need to have plan. Bob Stocks that show strength by not declining much' during times like now' are really still in the strong hands.
