The markets are actually shocked that inflation is starting to show?
Lots of price increases have been disguised or swept under the rug, but inflation didn't just go away. Too much depends on oil costs. A return to the early 80's is coming- double digit inflation by summer
Edit-if market drops much further- and looks like monumental crash about to extend itself- recession is a given by Fall/Winter- lots of spending power being drained.
