On a positive note, if I may be so bold on a day like today, I switched from Compuserve to FreeLane the other day for my work connection (cable not available yet at that location). For those of you that don't know, FreeLane is the free ISP offered by Excite@Home. One thing that totally took me by surprise was how much faster it is from my old Compuserve connection even with the ads running down at the bottom. I have a large screen so they don't take up needed real estate....my biggest concern was whether or not it would slow me down. Another positive was after putting SP5 on my NT workstations I didn't even have to write a script for the RAS. A small step to eradicate all traces of AOL from my machines.
