Greenspan may very well suspend rate increases during the political high season but, if inflation is still present, he will resume. If he suspends, the reason will be to stay out of the political process as much as possible.

(If he suspends, many will think "It's OVER!!!" and start buying again on the assumption that the bull has returned.)
