For curiosity, I looked up the PEs of CSCO for the years I've owned it. We've seen a PE of 17! Now, take today's earnings of $0.44 and multiply by this PE and we get a stock price below $10. This isn't a new groundbreaking price since we've been here before. Admittedly, we've not seen a PE this low in quite some time, but then again, we haven't seen big declines recently either.

I'm not predicting further declines. I just wanted to know what's the worst I've seen, so I'm prepared.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. The 17 PE was delivered in July 1994. The shares I purchased then cost me $20 (Then) and have now split 18 fold. These additional shares increased my cost base quite a bit, but it's still below $1 today.
