re csco at 60 before its split and Qcom at 120 in Jan
Actually they are lower now.
But that's not the point: I bought Qcom at 110 in Jan but had I sold some (in the IRA) on Jan 3rd as I intended (but got too enthusiastic to do) I would have been able to buy almost twice as much as I sold, at the cheaper price.
And for me, it's easier to buy a stock like Csco when it's come DOWN to 60 than when it has gone UP to 60: I do believe that when it comes down, it will always go back to its high and go further up from there....eventually, and usually within six months. When it is at a high, I am more shaky about wondering when a day like this will push it down.
