Manipulation occurs on NASDAQ due to MMs. It doesn't happen this way on NYSE.

This used to be true, but even this has been reduced greatly, when they forced the MM to show the best bid / ask on select high volume stocks.

Comment: That has certainly been my modus operandi to date...Steve Porter's case looks compelling at the moment though but it's difficult to parse out the negative market factor...I'll revisit this issue after April option expiry date if general market conditions stabilize/strengthen and AMD is not through $80 by that time!
