LindaL..Yes, I was the one who had some difficulty with "Stuart's" firm. Entered an order to sell at option I'd bought in the morning at 2 3/8 at 3:30 AT THE MARKET. They told me they couldn't sell it. It was bid by them, Datek and Pru-Bache at 10 7/8. It was not a question of price. I know the game, I might have gotten 10 1/2, even 10. MARKET orders ALWAYS go off...but not at "Stuart's" firm. "Listen to the tape" I said, you'll hear my conversation with Chris who I called at 3:45 when I was looking for my fill price." "Sorry" they said, "we have 20 "Chris' here, and without his last name we can't pull up the tape." Then my order to sell AT THE MARKET suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from my Transaction Page. Like you, I have had orders that I'd entered cancelled...by them!
Finally, after pursuing this I spoke to a nice fellow who said that nothing would happen unless and until I brought my complaint to their Compliance Department. (I never knew they had a compliance dept.) He said I should write a letter, NOT an e-mail to the Compliance Dept. (and request a signed receipt from them) discussing my "complaint. I just did this. I'm waiting.

If you want to do this, mail to:

Ameritrade
Compliance Department
P.O. Box 2209
Omaha, Nebraska
68103-2209

Let's stay in touch. Maybe we can help each other. (I also sent my letter "overnight-mail" for $11.75).I don't want it to get "lost" or take a week or more.
