Dave,

Lots of folks are gonna get huge margin calls.

Coupled with higher margin requirements.

Not a good time for dotcoms.

But real companies like csco,msft, amd etc will do great.

There is a lot of money on the sidelines.

When the rally starts in a few days it will be a doozie.

regards,

Kash

This was on the front page of my Schwab account, long but interesting ...

Urgent Notification 3341-0259

Margin trading maintenance requirements and buying power calculation for certain volatile stocks

Dave;

It is interesting; I am with Fidelity and the new Schwab %tages you are showing for those particular stocks are standard with Fidelity. That's maybe why I haven't had a margin call until now.

In the meantime, Greenspan is speaking and if he doesn't say anything real scary, we will rally. Forget it, he just brought up Fall, 1998....we are dead!!!

RE:"Margin calls..."

Sir John Templeton once said...
"Never borrow money to buy stocks"

Looks like Wall Street won't be happy until they wipe out the margin and the day traders...
