Scott, like you I have not bought or sold. I am a little nervous here and I know it is trite at this juncture but would like to see an 'e' in one operating company - or at least the glimmer of 'e' - before I jump.

Am looking more at infrastructure and wireless.

never trust an analyst. they think it's all a big joke.

from siliconinvestor.com

Keith Benjamin, formerly of Robertson Stephens but now in venture capital at Highland Capital Partners:

"You take ridiculously priced currency, that has a ludicrous multiple of revenues. . . Let's get real, I mean I used to actually have to argue for a living and justify these valuations. Now, I think I did a pretty good job of fooling at least some of you in the audience, but OK, today I can step back and say there's no way I could have ever really justified any of the valuations, particularly of the larger companies. . . What can I say? God Bless America and the capitalist system."

from washingtonpost.com

Going to upgrade, he tells an assistant as he walks out the door at 8:20 p.m. Not that he expects Amazon to go up that much. "I think it's dead money for a while, but I want to differentiate it from all the pieces of [expletive] we have buys on," he says cheerfully.

as for the sell-off of '97 and '98, this seems far worse. i think last tuesday when the nas was down 600 and recovered was similar but the following 8 days are new territory.

I love these days...everyone is pissed off, people criticize Wall Street, blame market makers, and rarely blame themselves - the ones who click and trade away fully knowing the risks

If people don't like the action, then get out of the market then start trading baseball cards - this is sentiment talking as well as people withdrawing money out of NAZ to pay their tax bills

For those who are tech-heavy in their portfolios as I am, remember this: technology companies fundamentals have never been better than they are today
Still lovin CMGI and Wetherell's strategy - see you at the next downtick
