Lynn- Yeah but, if you were President and given the choice, where would you send the National Guard? South Florida, or Wall Street? :) -JCJ

Dear Lynn, Like you, I don't live in South Florida, but in Europe, to be exact in North Italian Alps, and a few miles form the Swiss Border. That is even furrrrrrrrrrrther than you in New England! But I am, like, getting worried about this Elian Affair!

The truth of the matter is that you Americans are people in search of Causes, and that is quite honourable, but one has to be careful not to exaggerate! Cuban-Americans don't really care about Elian! The are angry at Castro, and that is there Cause! They want to fight him, hic et nunc, and they will not back-away; poor Elian is just a pawn!

Castro is a Thug! He has such a terrible human right records, he has killed, imprisoned thousands of Cubans, drove into exile hundreds of thousands, and put the rest of the population in a cage, starving them!! He doens't care about Elian, or flunky who cut the lawns in run-down Havana Hotel! He wants to win a round against the US government, and his enemies in Florida!

Now we have Janet Reno trying to settle this problem. With her backgound, maybe she should stay out of it and let the family settle this affair! If she tries to force the issue. then people will get hurt! And I think she will force the issue! Look how she handles the Waco Affair, and then had the guts to tell the world that she didn't know about the children! (I think she should have been fired there, but Clinton needed her!ggg)

Kind regards,

Yaacov

Lynn,
RE:"No amount of money could get me to go to S. FL right now. "

I'm in S. FL right now...it's raining.

There are some great lessons to be learned by all this...

Jim

OT--
Hey Lynn:
I've been watching this Elian story, and I wonder if the father wants to stay in the US.
If he does, will Castro harm the family he left behind in Cuba.
If not, it's a no brainer...he should stay here!!!
