Some stocks are oversold, yes. The generals (CSCO, ORCL for instance) are not.

The JDSU's, EXDS's of the world are nowhere near where they have to go.

The Nasdaq is overweighted to the generals because its a market weighted index. When the generals fall, it will perpetuate further selling in the second, third tier stocks.

The speculative bubble stocks like JDSU also comprise a large amount of weight due to their market cap significance.
