I like your definition of group think. I don't care if it descredits me or not. It is what I was refering to. The phenomena of the group think process having some bad side effects is very well documented. It explains a lot about how the moral standards (rules) in a group or society might at times deviate from the underlying moral principle. And it is most likely when the values of the individual members starts to be overridden by the group's values. No?
