Yes, those people either don't understand that the enterprise systems are NOT compatible with all the consumer software and peripherals out there, or they are techs who couldn't get a copy from work.

That's why corporations seldom standardize on NT for laptops. They can't get a laptop with NT to run that cheap laser printer at home because the drivers are only available for the heavy workgroup printers at the office. Also, games and other software suprisingly do not work on their NT machines.

Most IT departments have heavily invested NT architecture and desktops, but use Win95 and 98 (consumer OS) on their laptops.)
