First saw it in Fleckenstein's market wrap at:

He simply quotes from the May 2000 issue of Red Herring magazine, available on any newsstand.

(I bet a lot of clowns out there were hoping I had made the quote up and couldn't provide a source! To have one of the biggest pimps on wall street publicly admit the whole game was a fraud has to be earthshattering to someone who actually believed what wall street was telling them!)
