XTO at 13 1/4?? Can't believe I got filled, and it only took 20 minutes from start to finish. Guess the folks in the XTO finance department are in a meeting this afternoon ;o)

I am HAPPY to pay that, after listening to their con call last week. $5 cash flow in 2000, paying down debt, increased production, locked in some high prices for this quarter. Feel sorry for the seller - must have had a forced liquidation.

I really like Arthur Cashin on CNBC every afternoon at 3-3:10 P.M. He just pointed out a great upside to today's action: We don't have to worry about the wealth effect anymore!

>> Naz and DOw in free fall now. Hell, this might all be over in 2 days! Looks like the Naz may give it ALL back! Amazing. <<

The fundamentals are still there in many Naz issues they were simply way ahead of themselves. ORCT for one has a $160 price target. It ran from 30 to 90 during the Naz runup. It's now back to 30. I'm willing to take some risks here. MOT, NITE, MSFT other issues are starting to look very attractive to me. I might end up being 25-35% techs here going forward. I'm about 15% now.

I think it'll be over by Monday with the worst of it being done today. The tech stocks with huge negative earnings however may continue to drift lower and may not bounce as much with the big cap leaders.

BigBull, Congrats on your 70% cash call.

I don't like to try and time the market with my entire portfolio. However, I was off margin completely when this happened so I was a net buyer today.

Can't wait to see those commercials change on CNBC now that we're in bear territory. I found those overly bullish/the market is easy commercials very annoying. The Wall Street Journal was one of the worst imho. If you're a kid and you grow up in a house where they read the Wall Street Journal - you'll probably grow up to be an nerd accountant not a millionaire - no thanks.
