I have found ignore to be a most useful feature. I've got JW on ignore for instance so am not party to any of the shenanagins both for/against re: his cyberjail etc. I hear about it occasionally from friends. On my thread there is one person I put on ignore a long time ago and he knows it. That's it. Otherwise when people spar on my (and Poets) thread I just try and sometimes calm them down or otherwise just watch the fight and call it a "food fight"---i.e. lighten things up. I never ask anybody to leave.
