Exactly Kimmie, people fail to forget the Friday before Black Monday was the 2nd worst day in the history for the markets.

The internet bubble burst but why drag down quality tech issues with it. It doesn't make any sense to me. The economy is strong, we're at peace, it's a presidential election year, and consumer sentiment is good........what me worry?

SHE LIVES!! Welcome back, Kimberly! Wish you'd appeared here again on a better day -- but hope you'll be posting more often anyway, whatever the circumstances. And hope things have been going well for you in your absence from the thread...

That's the conventional wisdom, but I disagree. I believe the fear of another black monday caused many to sell Friday afternoon from 3pm on to about 3:50 or so. At the extreme panic, the naz was down over 11% and the selling was much worse than last Tuesday. Doubt we'll see much buying first thing Monday, but I think the panicky investors have jumped already. Monday should be a great day to buy--on that we both agree.
